Striptease is the culminating exhibition for Doug Jackson's 2015 architecture thesis studio, showcasing 18 visionary research projects.
The exhibition engages visitors with an experience that is as unified and intuitive as the projects are diverse and complex.
Visitors use hand gestures to interact with content as it slides along the strip. The interaction is similar to manipulating a touchscreen device, but without physical contact the experience becomes novel and playful.
By providing a rewarding way to explore content, visitors will spend time to understand the depth of each project, and encourage others to do the same.
Flavored food cubes provide refreshment between exploring projects.
Two marquees wrap the gallery, guiding visitors past project models before converging on interactive content in the middle.
The marquees are made from custom, unitized projection surfaces suspended in the space. Images are projected from behind to keep the exhibit clean and focused on content.
Users select a project from the ambient scrolling mosaic and customize their experience by exploring each project as they see fit.
